Sophisticated Two-Story Deck

The owners of this Illinois build knew that they wanted a high-style, low-maintenance outdoor living space that complemented the look of their two-story home.

The space needed to not only look and perform great, but also allow the family to take advantage of the walk-out basement and area below the deck — so they could enjoy the outdoors, no matter the weather. And, with the home situated beside a picturesque pond framed by attractive greenery, the project also called for clear sightlines and options for outdoor entertaining.

Sycamore, Illinois-based Davidson Services delivered on these needs perfectly, with al fresco dining and seating areas to take in the view, as well as a natural gas firepit around which to swap stories and share laughs. The finished under-deck area now features a DrySpace* water management system to collect and channel moisture — doubling the useable outdoor living space.

The completed backyard build evokes a warm, inviting atmosphere thanks to Dark Roast™ capped composite decking and fascia from the TimberTech Composite Reserve Collection. The premium 4-sided capped decking protects against invasion by moisture or mildew, so the space stays looking as beautiful on day 1,000 as day 1.

The Impression Rail™ keeps views unencumbered, while the white composite post sleeves and island caps coordinate seamlessly with the crisp white trim of the home’s exterior. The final touch? Versatex column wraps finished with matching crown and bed moulding.
